MNMC's Custom Survival will soon be entering the Alpha Release phase! This is great news for all of you who have been waiting on our Discord for over five years!

What does this mean?

Anyone can apply to join the Alpha Testing Team on our Discord.

To become an Alpha Tester, simply request access in chat, so no forms, no bureaucracy. We’ll be accepting a limited number of players, with priority given to those who’ve been with us for years.

As an Alpha Tester, you’ll be able to join the server, play, and experience everything a normal player can. You’ll also have full access to most of the completed areas available at the time.

Now for the fun part – Alpha Testers will receive a bunch of free Gems (our server currency), which you’ll be able to spend later on ranks, cosmetics, pets, and other perks!

The current state of Custom Survival

Since we’re entering the Alpha phase, expect plenty of bugs and odd behavior. If you find anything broken, misplaced, or just weird, please report it to our staff team.

Most areas will be open to Alpha Testers, though some parts of the world are still unfinished and locked off. Those will become available once the full release is out. While things may look complete at first glance, please don’t expect everything to work perfectly yet.

All Alpha Testers will get a special Discord role with access to channels where they can chat, coordinate, and report any bugs they find.

A bit of History

Over the past five years of development, we’ve had plenty of time to plan, build, test, and debug. Naturally, there have been lots of ups and downs along the way.

MNMC has mostly been a solo project for a long time. Everything you see – from the massive builds and custom plugins to the texture packs, website, and Discord server – was made by me. And, well... I’m human too. So please don’t expect the most advanced or polished Minecraft server ever made.

I treated MNMC as a hobby, something I worked on whenever I had the time. I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent on it exactly, but it’s definitely in the months. So it's more like a full-time job at this point.

Custom Survival has evolved a lot – from a simple 2020 survival server into a massive project full of features you won’t find anywhere else. It’s been “almost done” many times since 2020 (OGs will remember my announcements that the server will be released soon, like 2+ years ago), but I’m the kind of person who can’t stop tweaking things until they feel just right.

That’s why I’ve literally restarted the entire project from scratch at least three times. Each restart took months of planning, building, paying for servers, testing, and analyzing everything from scratch.

But the version we have now is the one I’m finally confident in – the best version so far, by far.
